Effective 2 January 2018, Al Lorenzen has resigned from his role as CEO of Wildwood Hills Ranch of Iowa to pursue other interests. Al has been affiliated with the Ranch for nearly 10 years—the last 7 years as CEO and 2 years prior to that as a member of the board of directors. During this time real progress has been made on growing the organization and real lives & communities have been impacted in a positive way. For this progress we are appreciative.
“Al was able to expand the capabilities of Wildwood Hills Ranch in much the same way we strive to transform the lives of at-risk kids. The Ranch is a better place today because of Al’s leadership, and because of that it is able to serve more at-risk kids in better ways today than ever before.”
Mike Whalen, Founder, WHR
“Al identified the pragmatic approaches to running a complex non-profit. He was able to grasp the complexity of the task and take us to the next level”
Chris Boley, Founding WHR board member
“As a strong leader, Al put people and systems in place that strengthened Wildwood Hills Ranch’s ability to serve more Iowa kids and better enable us to meet our mission.”
Doug Siedenburg, Founding WHR board member
Going forward Wildwood Hills Ranch will be led by Matt Moeckl, Executive Director, and Chris Ellifritt, Finance Director. Please feel free to reach out to either Matt or Chris with any questions you may have.
Wildwood Hills Ranch exists to transform lives and strengthen communities by providing healing, hope and God’s unconditional love to children and youth at-risk in the state of Iowa.
From all of us at Wildwood Hills Ranch of Iowa, thank you for your ongoing support.
Very best regards,
Tony Thelen, WHR board chair
