Equestrian Program

At Wildwood Hills Ranch, our Equestrian Program offers far more than horseback riding, it creates opportunities for healing, growth, and life-changing transformation. Through the unique connection between people and horses, participants build confidence, develop resilience, strengthen relationships, and discover hope.

Horses have an extraordinary ability to sense and respond to human emotions without judgment. This makes them powerful partners in helping children, families, veterans, and active-duty service members navigate challenges such as trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, ADHD, brain injuries, stress, and the effects of abuse.

Every interaction is intentionally designed to foster trust, communication, emotional regulation, leadership, and self-confidence in a safe, supportive environment. Guided by experienced professionals and a herd of more than 30 horses, participants gain valuable life skills while discovering their strength, purpose, and potential.

In 2025, Wildwood Hills Ranch provided more than 500 hours of equine-assisted therapy to youth, veterans, and their families—creating lasting impact for hundreds of individuals seeking healing and hope. We currently offer two youth programs and one veterans program.

Our Programs

Youth Equine Program

Students experience the joy and responsibility of caring for and riding horses while developing confidence, leadership, teamwork, and perseverance. Horsemanship activities reinforce the character-building lessons taught throughout our youth programming, helping students grow both in and out of the arena.

Veterans Equine Program

Designed specifically for veterans and active-duty service members, this program provides opportunities for healing, connection, and renewed purpose. Through equine-assisted experiences, participants find camaraderie, improve their emotional well-being, and build confidence while navigating the challenges of military service and life beyond it.
