Wildwood Hills Ranch raises $280,000 to benefit Iowa at-risk children

ST. CHARLES, Iowa – Wildwood Hills Ranch, with the generous support of Heart of America Group, raised more than $280,000 this fall from two fundraising events: the Wild About the Child Barn Dance hosted at Veritas Stables in Davenport, IA and a Thanksgiving buffet at The Machine Shed in Urbandale, IA.

Wildwood Hills Ranch is a nonprofit organization that exists to transform lives and strengthen communities by providing healing, hope and God’s unconditional love to children and youth at risk. 1,000 students are served annually through a summer program, monthly retreats and equine therapy.

The Wild About the Child Barn Dance could not have happened without significant contribution from Heart of America Group, the event’s Presenting Sponsor. HOA also provided The Machine Shed facility and staff on Thanksgiving Day to raise funds that benefit the Ranch.

Event proceeds sponsor children to attend the program at Wildwood Hills Ranch, an organization that has served Quad Cities children since their 2001 inception. The Ranch makes a 10-year commitment to each child at no cost to their family. Starting at eight years old, students come to the Ranch to learn new life skills through positive role modeling and hands-on experiences.

“We feel incredibly blessed by the amazing support of Heart of America Group.” Al Lorenzen, CEO, explained, “With their help, we raised enough money for 350 student scholarships so we can continue breaking cycles, building leaders and transforming communities.”
